Reference: n/aBrewery: John Wieland Brewery. San Francisco, CaliforniaManufacturer/Plant: See comments/descriptionDate of manufacture: Pre-ProCanning Code: n/a Contents/Type: N/ACondition/Comments: Tremendous artwork featuring a large bock goat lapping beer from a goblet while standing on a wooden barrel from the John Wieland Brewery. Barrel is adorned with hop vines. A Redwood tree on the right and a large wooden mallet at left. up We can only speculate that the tower with American flag in the background is architecture from the Panama-Pacific World's Fair of 1915 or perhaps part of the brewery. Condition is very strong. Some soiling, mostly in one area at top, a few creases, and a pinhole at center left edge. Colors are excellent and litho is complete. There is a hand-painting of a house and tree on the reverse side. RARE: this is the only example of this litho we have seen in 25 years. Manufactured by Louis Roesch Co. Litho, San Francisco, California. About 26 x 32 inches framed. Tastefully matted and framed in oak. Litho is all original. For more info or questions regarding this lot contact Dan via email.
