West Virginia Beer-Ale 1940s Tin-Over-Cardboard Calendar Sign

Condition/Comments: Somewhat unusual in that the entire face of the sign is raised above the border of the sign within its boundary as opposed to having a beveled edge as most TOCs do. This makes the framing look especially nice by creating a deep space around the inner mat. Overall condition is excellent, with no notable oxidation and bright colors, including the recessed metallic gold which is only lightly tarnished. Some light rub marks and nicks are present and the surface of the black has impressions in the paint as if it were stored in paper for a very long time. Two very faint kinks in the top edge and a crease above the E of SPECIAL are not evident in the photos. Calendar pad and mounting hardware are missing. 13 w x 9-1/2 h. 18 w x 14 h framed.
