Old Beer Cans & Breweriana for Sale • Archives for Research • Free Appraisals
Business Name: Fort Pitt Brewing Co., Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaManufacturer/Plant: UnknownDate of manufacture: circa 1940sCondition/Comments: Scarcest aluminum version of the series. This attractive hand painted sign shows the brand trademark of two riders in a horse-drawn shay as its main artwork, with the large, deep base providing depth and separation for the brand in its old English font. NOTE: Areas of the lettering appear to have been repainted, as do the mans hat, horses hooves, and the distant wheel. While this piece was hand-painted from the factory, the differences in the tone and shininess of the black indicate likely minor restoration. Fortunately, due to the hand-painted nature, these do not affect the fantastic display! 9-3/4 w x 10 h x 4-1/4 d. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
