Condition/Comments: Very early design featuring a gold metallic background and long opener. Dates to 1935 and is singular PATENT pending. They do not get much earlier than that! Condition is excellent, very strong metallic with just a small speck or two and a couple of scratches. Evidence of dent repair on the opener illustration and OI panel. It is likely the original bottom was expertly removed and reapplied for this. Correct height. This label has been assigned a rarity rating of R8 on grade in the USBCOI. From the Jules Kish Connecticut collection with provenance to the Stark collection. Condition comments intended to point out defects not apparent in photos.
