Marceline Bottling Works Pre-Prohibition Serving Tray

Condition/Comments: Marceline bottled water and soft drinks and operated a creamery until it closed in 1953. This tray showing a bowl full of plump, ripe fruit is stock image #9 from the H. D. Beach catalog. Its colors have dimmed a bit from age and very slight oxidation/crazing of the paint yet the surface still has a nice sheen with only minor blemishes. All the colors show evenly and equally well, they just lack the brilliance of a like-new example. Minor imperfections that may not be evident are dings at the edge of the face at 12-, 6-, and 7-o-clock, and there are three small holes at the top of the rim that are easy to overlook. 16-1/2 w x 13-3/4 h.
