Manufacturer/Plant: See comments/description
Date of manufacture: Pre-Prohibition

Condition/Comments: Early. To our best estimate, this piece dates to about 1858, making it the earliest breweriana sign we have handled. RARE, the only example of this sign we have had or seen. Factory scene lithograph features a very modest building, more like a house converted to a brewery. Mat overlaps litho on left and right sides. Appears to have always been assembled this way as early, rusty tapered nails still hold mat in place in an undisturbed way. So, the piece likely is not cropped. Condition is excellent with some toning but no obvious defects observer. 32 x 26 Inches. All original. NOTE will require double boxing, shipping will be at least $350, feel free to make arrangement in advance. Condition comments intended to point out defects not apparent in photos. Rely upon photos for primary assessment of condition. For more info or questions regarding this lot contact Dan via email.
