Smooth clean, clear surface. Jenney has roots dating back 1812 when it was founded in Boston, Massachusetts by Stephen Jenney. Originally they produced kerosene, coal and whale oil but by the 1860s they were focused on distributing petroleum products for factories and businesses. In the early 1900s the company took off with the new production of personal automobiles in Boston. The company had a good run and was eventually swallowed by Cities Services in the 1960s and later rebranding as Citgo. 4 inches. Provenance to the Zwick Collection.
