Business Name: Independent Brewing Assn., Chicago, IllinoisManufacturer/Plant: UnknownDate of manufacture: Pre-ProhibitionCondition/Comments: Large, extremely detailed surface. Depictions of Alexander the Great, Prima, and Julius Caesar. While the first and last are known historical figures, we can find no reference to a medieval figure, knight, or Crusader named Prima. Condition of the piece is phenomenal, especially considering the vast amount of detail and raised surfaces that are susceptible to chipping. The only surface mark we see is a small area on the base, surrounded by blue, that looks like it may have had a surface object chipped off the glaze. Not damage per se, as it was present during firing and may have been intentionally removed as part of quality control. Beautiful piece. 7-1/2 w x 11-1/2 h. NABA.
