Business Name: Jacob Hornung Brewing Co., Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaManufacturer/Plant: Price Bros. Manufacturing Chicago ILDate of manufacture: circa 1930sCondition/Comments: Handsome Price Bros. piece with classic Art Deco lines. NOTE: The white on the inside of the shroud has been repainted. Without disassembling the piece to remove the glass it is difficult to confirm whether the black of the branding and smaller text has been repainted as well, though we are pretty certain it has been. Condition of the base is excellent from the display side with no notable degradation and mostly clean metal. The only notable wear/aging is on the slotted clip that hold the glass panel in place. There is some oxidation on the back of the shroud. Oxidation, lifting, and cracking has occurred on the printed clock dial. All components are original but did not work when tested. The lamp did not light and, while the clock motor hummed, the hands did not move. This is not one that turns up every day. 12 w x 9-3/4 h x 3 d. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
