Business Name: Jacob Hornung Brewing Co., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Manufacturer/Plant: Unknown
Date of manufacture: circa 1930s
Condition/Comments: Scarcer 12-inch tray. Note the block lettering used for the brand, indicative of an earlier 1930s issue prior to the change to script logotype. This example is in excellent condition and displays great, nicer than implied by the photos that expose some tiny oxidation specks within the silver. When viewed under normal lighting and from even a short distance they appear as more of a surface texture variation rather than a color-changer, much like under-the-paint humidity on cans with similar enamel silver or gold paint. There is very little evidence of wear so this is likely a result of mere natural aging rather than use/misuse. Dent and ding free. 12-inch diameter. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
