Hemrich's Beer Pre-Prohibition Chalk Statue

Condition/Comments: Fairly large statue is very reminiscent of a Hummel figurine and also bears relation to mantle clocks that have figures or ornaments surrounding a clock face rather than the end of a keg as this piece does. The hooded child is holding root vegetables in one hand while straddling the barrel. The other arm is broken so it is unknown what that hand was holding and the symbolism lost along with it. It looks as though the brand may have been overprinted with RAINIER, as neither brand is very clear. In addition to the missing arm, the spigot is missing from the barrel and there are other small chips and nicks. 15 w x 9 h x 6-1/2 d. NABA. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
