Reference: n/aBusiness Name: Cerveceria Hatuey, Santiago, Cuba, Non-U.S. (see comments/description)Manufacturer/Plant: CrownDate of manufacture: circa 1940sCanning Code: n/a Contents/Type: 12 ozCondition/Comments: Hatuey was a prominent Taino leader (cacique), from present-day Haiti and Dominican Republic, who is remembered for his resistance against Spanish colonization in Cuba, where he traveled to warn the native population about the impending invasion. While the can is oxidized uniformly throughout its surface, the colors and design do not seem to be much affected, other than some inconsistency in the white that may be due as much to the initial ink coverage as with aging. Surface has dulled. Displays equally well from either side. Scarce can! All items are original unless otherwise noted. For questions, feedback, or to sell a similar item contact Dan via email.
