Old Beer Cans & Breweriana for Sale • Archives for Research • Free Appraisals
Reference: USBC 160-21Business Name: Ebling Brewing Co., New York, New YorkManufacturer/Plant: CrownDate of manufacture: circa 1930sCanning Code: n/a Contents/Type: 12 ozCondition/Comments: Scarce. Very handsome design features a portrait of a horse labeled White Head. Pure white-headed or all-white thoroughbreds are a very rare occurrence and, presumably, the brand took its name in likening the rare breed of its Ale to that of the horse. This example is smooth and shiny throughout but does exhibit advanced pinpoint speckling. This is somewhat diminished when viewed under normal lighting so the can displays well. The gold remaining on the top rim and spout add more appeal. No notable dings or kinks. Scarce label in its very early flat bottom iteration. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
