Condition/Comments: This is an Irish piece, as shown by DUBLIN in the largest type on the sign in the center, and by the copyright date of 1896 - several years before the Burke brothers constructed their importing office and warehouse in New York in 1912 (though they did operate in the city prior to that time). The scene is strewn with bottles and references to Bass Ale and Guinness Stout, the beer brands the business was most closely associated with. Some staining in the margin and a tiny tear on the sign are the blemishes of note. Wonderful remarque of bottles imprinted in the lower margin. Period correct frame is not original. to the piece. 26-1/2 w x 22-1/2 h. Fabulous. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
