Old Beer Cans & Breweriana for Sale • Archives for Research • Free Appraisals
Business Name: Duquesne Brewing Co. of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaManufacturer/Plant: UnknownDate of manufacture: circa 1930sCondition/Comments: Early sign appears to advertise a can that never existed - an inverted-rib Can-o-Beer cone top! (Only Keg-o-Beer cans came in that style). Possibly an optical illusion or artists used an early FBIR cone as the model. Whatever the case, its a cool looking graphic that would be right at home in any vintage can collection. The sign is remarkably clean and stain-free though there is damage to the spout of the can. The crown was either heavily creased or separated and has been reattached with tape. 9-1/4 w x 9-1/2 h. 16 w x 17 h framed. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
