Condition/Comments: Jefferson Distributing of Martinsburg, WV, is the co-brand on this piece, promoting Duquesne beer. Likely dates to no later than about 1950. Note the SINCE 1934 phrase. Condition is very good, with a nice shine remaining on the surface. Appears to be factory-finished with varnish or shellac, which has yellowed over time and via exposure to light. The red is slightly faded. The original color of the background was white. There is some mildew present in the painted surface but the clear finish has kept it from spreading rampantly so the piece displays very well. Tonal differences in the white are due to varying thickness of the clear. Thermometer is still accurate. Constructed of lightweight pine. 4 w x 15 h. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
