Condition/Comments: Terrific, rare advertising piece...Reverse painted glass menu board retains original paper price list backer! Gotta love the prices! Condition is very strong. In its (likely) original wood frame that measures 14 x 25 inches. The back of the sign is a piece of sturdy board (newer), screwed at the edges. There are slots to accept cardboard inserts of menu items and prices. Circa 1936. There is some slight cracking or spidering of the reverse paint near the bottom. Some of the inserts have pieces of tape showing on the back of the piece and there is some water damage to inserts also. There are a few extra inserts which show breaks and wear. There is no hanger but there is a small hole on the frame top in the center that may have had a fastener for hanging. The colors and design are striking. This sign weighs almost 5 lbs.
