Condition/Comments: Tall wooden thermometer backing is shaped to accommodate the slender image of Boston Light lighthouse which naturally also nicely fits the thermometer within. Gently curved arc at the top and nicely routered bevel detail all around to provide depth. Condition is as shown, with most involving some degradation of the protective varnish coat that has weathered away, cracked, or yellowed to the uniformity of the colors. The form itself is outstanding with no notable dents, cracks or splits in the wood. Temperature is still accurate. About 5 w x 21 h. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
