Condition/Comments: Similar to Kings Ale this brew was held at the brewery for eventual future release(s) after having been brewed in 1869! This particular bottle bears the hallmarks of the identical rebottling and relabeling that occurred with Kings ale, as some of the original label is visible around the edge of the newer one at lower left. It also has the newer black wax without the Bass seal on the top. The brew is original, dating to 1869, and the bottle dates to later than 1876 but we cannot find information about whether there were additional releases prior to 1977 from which the label may have originated. Bottle and label are in excellent condition, with a small gap in the wax and very faint sign of leakage. About 11-1/2 h.
