Condition/Comments: Heavy, thick, glass on slate sign. Amazing, stunning, bright, wonderful … so many superlatives can describe this large turn-of-the-century piece of English breweriana, The glass is extremely thick, and is reverse painted, with stunning textured gold leaf inset lettering, and vivid red enameled trade mark diamond, used to signify their strong Burton ale, versus the commonly seen red triangle of the more popular pale ale. No notable marks but the edge is crude, the hanging apparatus very rugged. One of two similarly fabulous pieces we are offering from Burton breweries. 11 x 20 inches. All original.
