Condition/Comments: One-of-a-kind hand illustrated artwork for an early Bartels piece, perhaps intended for an ad to be used in taverns, theaters, or newspapers (it is approximately broadsheet sized). The entire top portion is hand illustrated and lettered, with some light soiling/toning but no notable loss of color. Corrections, highlights, and pencil marks are visible. The sheet music lower portion is also entirely hand lettered, including the staffs and notes. Typography and clothing styles place this as a pre-Pro piece. Signed by the artist at lower right FAHILINGER. Superb piece and amazing that it has survived this long! 15-1/4 w x 24 h. All items are original unless otherwise noted.
