Condition/Comments: Rare oak and pine advertising display cabinet with lithographed paper ad panel. Ayer was a physician who amassed a fortune promoting Hair Vigor and other drugs. An interesting history can be had here: https://www.newenglandhistoricalsociety.com/sad-news-death-William-phips/ . This advertising cabinet promotes Ayers Hair Vigor for the Toilet. It claims to restore gray hair to its natural vitality and color, remove dandruff, and cure baldness. Features a beautiful blue eyed brunette lady with long flowing, healthy hair holding a container of the Hair Vigor. Condition is good. The lithographed paper ad panel has added paper and repairs in the top left corner, a horizontal crease and tear running from side to side through the head of the lady, another crease and tear starting at left edge about a third from bottom and extending into the hair, some loss at edges, soiling and other aging.
