Condition/Comments: Rare piece, we have not seen another. This ornately constructed calendar features an embossed oval frame around an applied image of a lovely young lady. This image is quite thick and gives the piece a 3-D effect similar to that of a cameo jewelry piece. The cover page of the calendar pad reads 1917. Condition is good, with cracks and wrinkles to the backing board, most notably along the bottom through the phone number, and at the top corners through the flower designs, one of which appears as though it may be detached from the main portion. Some moisture staining is present as shown in photos. The bright gold frame is perfect for this piece, drawing attention from these edge blemishes and allowing focus on the central components.
