Condition/Comments: This is the variation with thinner letters for the ABC brand name. Fairly early, USBCOI dates it to mid-1937 though the date stamp on the bottom would indicate late 1936. It is Patents Pending. Rates an R8 on the USBCOI rarity scale when on-grade like this. Has minor blemishes and appears to have been painted over with blue as paint residue can still be found at the rims and in the seam. An very well-preserved example thanks to that protective layer!
