Date of manufacture: Circa 1890Dimensions: 12” diameterComments: A very early and very rare tray that depicts the execution of Sioux in 1862 after the Dakota War of 1862. Not the subject matter that would be commemorated today, but an important event in both Native American and U.S. history so the crossover collectibility is very high. Historians, Native American, Military, and Breweriana collectors will appreciate this tray. The overall condition is very good. There are a few rim nicks and the paint has oxidized. The image may have yellowed (note the color difference in the sky), though this can’t be confirmed without comparison to another example.
