Condition/Comments: Tray is constructed of Fibrotta, a composite material patented in 1883 (as also stated on the face of the tray). Research we have done on the history of this material does not show it in widespread use ever, and there are very few references to it beyond approximately 1913. In addition, the brewery operated under the name on the tray between 1894 and 1920. This would likely date the tray to the early 1900s. The tray shows some wear on the face but no structural harm, cracks, or large chips. The debossed lettering is intact and completely legible. We would term the tray to be in very good condition. A very interesting piece!
