Condition/Comments: RARE, early, low profile rim Shonk tray! Features Minnehaha on a canoe with a bow and a couple bottles of Iroquois beers. The majestic Minnehaha waterfall in the background completes the scene. Wikipedia tells the story of Minnehaha: Minnehaha is a Native American woman documented in Henry Wadsworth Longfellows 1855 epic poem The Song of Hiawatha. She is the lover of the titular protagonist Hiawatha and comes to a tragic end. The name, often said to mean laughing water, literally translates to waterfall or rapid water in Dakota. Also shows full feathered headdress along with highly detailed hops and decoration on the rim. 12 Inches. All original. Condition comments intended to highlight imperfections not apparent in photos.
