This factory scene lithograph provides one of the more creative and detailed images in the hobby. The bold presentation of the factory on the top half transitions to the lower half with the “Prima Girl” in a flowing gown with a flowered headdress and sash. The lithograph was acquired from a prominent Chicago collector who focused on Chicago items. He purchased it in 1994 from an auction in Iowa. He further stated that this example was in the best condition out of four known to him and was the only one that had the original frame with the printed brewery information.
The condition is outstanding with no significant flaws. There is a very small stain above the word “Independent;” however, it blends in with the colors and is not detracting. The piece has been professionally cleaned and conserved by Oppenheimer, Inc. The frame and glass are original. A sheet of UV protectant glass has been added.
