Condition/Comments: A top notch specimen! This design was the first departure from Fox’s metallic designs of 1935-36, but still includes Patents Pending and the U Permit 798. The short-lived side panel touting Vitamins B and G may have been intended to create competitive awareness with Schlitz’s more ubiquitous (and popular?) Vitamin D. Whatever the intent, the label was not produced for long, and USBCOI has therefore assigned it a rarity rating of R8. Top lid professionally replaced by Art Lacomb.
