Reference: USBCOI 283
Brewery: Fort Pitt Brewing Co., Pittsburgh, PA
Manufacturer/Plant: American Can Co.
Date of manufacture: Circa 1937
Contents/Type: 12 oz
Condition/Comments: This is a tough variation of the running waiter. USBCOI rates this patents pending can as R9. While the can has some obvious issues it is clearly an indoor can with lots going for it. The finish of the paint is evenly marred with scattered oxidation that has dulled the paint, but does not appear to be heavy humidity or pitting of the metal beneath. It looks nicer in-hand than under studio lighting. This can is air sealed but in 100% original, as-found condition...from the legendary Plant 17 find that included cans like the Neuweiler's Bock and Kent Ale.
