Condition/Comments: A fabulous sign with two etched ruby red color glass ad panels. Has a different look when displayed against a wall (very nice, appears a bit darker) and when displayed in front of a window or backlit (appears brighter and like a large illuminated sign). See photos with different backgrounds. A divider in the middle separates the ad panels. Hand painted original wood frame. We believe this sign may be unique as it is the ONLY example we have seen. We have heard of a few others but understand the design of the others is a bit different. It is 100% original, in exceptional condition, and right as rain. Likely intended for indoor or outdoor display. Manufactured by John B. Schmidt Sign Co. This sign would be the crown jewel of even the most advanced Illinois or East St. Louis collection. A bit over 72 x 31 inches. All original. NOTE: this item is large and fragile and not able to be shipped. Pick up at NABA convention in Pittsburgh or at Morean Auctions in Brimfled, MA only.
