Budweiser Beer 1940s Cast Zinc Figural Neon Sign

Condition/Comments:  What a great looking piece in fantastic condition! The only blemishes are some oxidation specks in the silver background to the right of the word “Beer.” Paint and glass are intact. There is an IBEW union sticker on the transformer but no maker’s mark. Transformer is original. We have seen this sign lit so do know that it works and it looks absolutely gorgeous! However, the original cord has been spliced to another cord rather than replaced entirely. It shows cracking, and is frayed where it enters the transformer housing. Due to safety concerns we opted not to illuminate it for the prolonged period required to photograph it in its illuminated state. The cord should be replaced by a professional before plugging in. An outstanding and very rare piece.
