Condition/Comments: A fabulous sign with two etched ruby red color glass ad panels. Has a different look when displayed against a wall (very nice, appears a bit darker) and when displayed in front of a window or backlit (appears brighter and like a large illuminated sign). See photos with different backgrounds. A divider in the middle separates the ad panels. Hand painted original wood frame with scalloped center and corner edges. We believe this sign may be unique as it is the ONLY example we have seen. It is 100% original, in exceptional condition, and right as rain. Likely intended for indoor or outdoor display (see included photo of similar Gast sign hanging outside of building in St. Louis). Although the manufacturer is not identified on the sign, we believe it likely was the John B. Schmidt Sign Co. This sign would be the crown jewel of even the most advanced Anheuser-Busch collection. A bit over 79 x 54 inches. All original. NOTE a $400 crating fee will be added to the invoice for this item. Must be picked up at NABA convention or at the Brimfield, MA showroom.
