Comments:  If you are looking for a truly unique piece to add to your collection, it doesn’t get any better than this. Featured here is a large original watercolor painting of the American Brewing Company’s Rochester, New York operation. The sprawling complex appears to occupy a full city block, and then some, belching smoke and steam from every possible outlet—implying it is operating at full capacity to meet an overwhelming demand. Wagons are lined up 4-deep waiting to cart off kegs and bottles of brew to waiting bars and retailers. The detail in the buildings and streets is incredible.

Overlaid onto the scene is the American Brewing Company’s trademark logo and Liberty Beer mark, also used on its serving trays (seen in this catalog as lot 21). The marks, logo, script “American Brewing Co.” and even the beveled mat surrounding the image is hand painted.

There is no sign of an artist’s signature, though one may be present but obscured by the frame; or the piece may be signed on the reverse. We have not disassembled it to check.

The painting is framed in what is likely its original oak frame and backing. The painting itself is in remarkable original condition overall. The only signs of wear are in the green mat area where some scrapes are evident. The frame has some wear consistent with its age.
